How Kyururu works with a sports story
We treat sports photography as material for a book rather than a gallery endpoint. Editorial work therefore starts before the shoot and finishes only when the print master, captions and archive still make sense together.
What counts as a finished story
First define the object: event, team or season, who will read it, and what should still be understandable years later. Then inspect the coverage. Does it contain place, people, action, reaction, detail and an ending? The edit is built around those roles rather than around the number of technically sharp files.
How the review works
Layout starts after sequence. Repetition, image scale, names, captions and places are checked separately. A physical proof is practical rather than ceremonial: it reveals faces lost in the gutter, captions that became too small and dark photographs that no longer carry enough detail.
What survives after print
After print, the project should not dissolve into unrelated folders. The approved PDF, captions, editorial selects and master photographs stay connected. That is what makes a photobook reproducible and the archive useful rather than merely large.
