Tournament photobooks: editing, layout and print

Start with the event structure, not with a favourite template. Arrival, preparation, decisive passages, people at the edge of play and the aftermath give action photographs somewhere to live. A strong book can skip many technically good frames if they repeat a role already filled better.

Before the final edit, know the trim size and binding. Those choices affect crops, gutter safety and how many small pictures can remain readable. Keep caption notes beside the selects, and make a proof copy before a full run so the edit is tested in the hand, not only on a screen.
